These domestic stairways are very durable and attractive being made from extruded aluminium alloy. The Piccolo S has counter-balance springs which hold the stairway in the folded position without additional support.

The Piccolo stairway without the counter-balance springs, is supplied with a pair of hooks to be positioned at the opposite end of the opening to the hinge in order to store the stairway when not in use.

Both models (the S is ready fitted with a counter-balance spring) require a clear aperture width of 380mm inside the hatch.
